Megan Dowd is a virtual pilates coach for the woman who is ready to take care of business. I love Megan's approach because she doesn't waste time focussing on getting the "perfect" body, or weight loss for the sake of thinness. She places a huge emphasis on body awareness, movement that feels amazing, body acceptance (no matter what body you're in!) and breathing as a way to open up space in your body & brain.

Relevant & Resonant is a new, once monthly segment for the podcast where media guru, Haley Quinn and I have chats about what is going on in the world, in the media and in our culture and how those events & situations relate to our health, body image, and healing.

This week we are talking about how dealing with natural disasters (like hurricanes!) may effect our own healing process. We talk about being in a state of crisis, and the cycle of growth.

Maddy Moon is an author, motivational speaker, life coach retreat leader, and she's also a fellow podcast host on her show Mind Body Musings. She teaches women how to heal their minds, hearts, and spirits by stepping into their femininity and stepping out of their perfectionist tendencies.

After having struggled with disordered eating during her time spent body building, Maddy decided it was time to close that chapter and write a new one. She's helped so many women to do the same, and is sharing some of her wisdom with us today while we talk through subjects like perfectionism, our different energies, recovering from eating disorders, accepting her body, tools for healing, letting go of the need to control food, and sooo much more.
